Grand Theft Auto (lyhyesti GTA) on Rockstar Gamesin luoma toimintapelisarja, joka on tunnettu avoimesta pelimaailmastaan.
Sarjan pelejä on elokuuhun 2015 mennessä myyty yhteensä 220 miljoonaa kappaletta.[1]

Remasteroitu trilogia
Lokakuussa 2021 kerrottiin kolmen sarjan pelin tulevan remasteroituna trilogiana marraskuussa 2021.[9] Trilogiaan lasketaan kuuluvaksi Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: Vice City ja Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas.[9] Trilogian päivityksistä vastaa Grove Street Games, joka on aiemmin tehnyt käännöksiä mobiilialustoille.[9] Ennen julkaisua Rockstar poisti trilogiassa olevat pelit myynnistä digitaalisista kauppapaikoista, mutta muun muassa Steamissä ne ostaneet voivat niitä edelleen pelata.[10][11]
Trilogian ostaneet ovat olleet tyytymättömiä graafisiin virheisiin, ohjelmointivirheisiin ja pelin hyytymisiin, jotka estävät etenemisen.[12] Konsoliversioissa kuvataajuus putoaa huomattavasti joissakin tilanteissa.[10] Julkaisun jälkeen Rockstar veti trilogian pois myynnistä tietokonealustoille johtuen "vahingossa mukana olevista tiedostoista".[13]
Grand Theft Auto VI
Sarjaan on kehitteillä uusi osa, Grand Theft Auto VI, joka sijoittuu Miamiin.[14] Peli julkaistaan huhtikuun 2023 ja maaliskuun 2024 välillä.[6] Julkaisu saattaa kuitenkin venyä vuoteen 2025.[7] Peli julkaistaan ainakin PlayStation 4-, PlayStation 5- ja Xbox Series X -konsoleille.[8]
